VDay2012

This is the day when many shine the spotlight on what we would consider love. However I myself do not find Valentine’s Day equivalent to love. I believe there could be a correlation to Valentine’s Day expressions and love. But I don’t believe it is a cause and effect relationship. Many people agree with this statement but it is always nice to have that third party variable that shows love. I wonder what people consider love to be. What do you think love encompasses? Is it heterosexual or is it straight? Is it sex or is it waiting? Is marriage or is it singleness? Is it obedience or is it defiance? Is it giving up or is it holding on? Can it be found in many or can it be found in one? These questions are of a deeply inquisitive nature but merely play off of what love is.
The who, what, where, when’s and how’s of love is not sufficient to define love. You have to concretely define it. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful, proud, or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Love is great and we are human. When we love we get closer to the essence of God. There is nothing greater and there is nothing more powerful. It is not usually love that is the issue but our use of love that is often misguided, misused and sometimes confused. Please do not give up on love. For without love you nothing. God is love. Peace, love and never hurt.

Denzel does it again "Safe House" review

In the wake of the infamous wiki leak’s website that shined an unwanted spotlight on many of the secrets that many conspiracy theorists have thrived on for years. Writer Daniel Espinosa’s new thriller “Safe House” is a must see movie. In this movie Denzel Washington plays rouge C.I.A agent Tobin Frost who through unforeseen circumstances has fallen in direct custody of novice safe house keeper Matt Weston. Matt is taken through an exhilarating quest to keep safe harbor of his notorious house guest. Throughout this movie there is the underlining story of what has brought Denzel to be one of the most wanted men alive.
As any good governmental mystery plot does it implants a curiosity in the viewer to explore the foundation that holds up their personal pillars of truth regarding government. This movie has a healthy dosage of action which displays itself almost from the beginning of the movie. It also was excellent to see Ryan Reynolds step out of his normal satirical humor and take on the challenge of a true drama. I personally believe it is worth going to see if you would like to see this rising star show range in his acting abilities. If that doesn’t draw you to theatre Denzel Washington, Vera Farmiga, Brenden Gleeson and Director Espinosa are not too bad of odds to gamble on in my opinion. But this is America and peer pressure rules so the millions made in the box office and the high ratings on a pleather of movie websites should be enough to urge you to go see this movie.

As always I wish you peace, love and never hurt.
